Tech One IT, a leader in technology staffing, IT solutions, and technology apprenticeship services, announced today that Paul Cozza, Executive Vice President of Workforce Solutions at Tech One IT, has been selected as a Department of Labor Apprenticeship Ambassador. Cozza will represent IT, specifically IT apprenticeship opportunities within the military veteran (MilVet) and underserved communities.

The Apprenticeship Ambassador Initiative brings together industry, labor, education, equity and workforce leaders to partner with the department’s Office of Apprenticeship. The goal of this initiative is to promote Registered Apprenticeships as a valuable workforce strategy in high-demand industries to develop and expand opportunities for people historically underserved.

Only 207 cohorts were chosen as ambassadors from across the nation by the Department of Labor. The ambassadors consist of diverse partners from multiple industries who have demonstrated a willingness to use their Registered Apprenticeship experience and expertise to promote and expand these programs across all industries.

“I am extremely honored to be selected.” said Paul Cozza. “We have continuously expanded our own Technology Apprenticeship Program thanks to our loyal clients and partnerships with the US Military, universities, colleges, and trade schools. Now we can extend opportunities through the Department of Labor’s new initiative.”

The ambassadors are tasked with promoting Registered Apprenticeship as part of the Department of Labor’s commemoration of the 85th Anniversary of the National Apprenticeship Act on Aug. 16th, 2022. The commemoration will continue through the remainder of the year and include National Apprenticeship Week, starting Nov. 14th, 2022.
