The cloud computing software is constantly evolving, adding new platform releases every six months (inry.com), which means companies are required to assess their own systems and patch areas that need tweaking to meet standards.
Our opinion: ServiceNow is not going anywhere anytime soon. Spending the time to learn the software is definitely worth the investment.
The Cost of Certification

There are many different options for certification, depending on your skillset and goals. “Time to complete this education training ranges from 16 hours to 8 months depending on the qualification, with a median time to complete of 30 hours.
