Tech One IT is proud to announce that Devmountain, the fully-immersive, career-focused technological institute, will develop a scholarship program on behalf of Tech One IT. The Bridge The Gap scholarship will provide $3,000 to a worthy student. The scholarship application process is open on the Devmountain website until May 31, 2020.

Tech One IT started a partnership with Devmountain earlier this year after a presentation to the student body. The presentation led to a continuation of mentorship from Chris Maser, Director of Talent Architecture, even moving to a virtual environment during COVID-19.

“I am so proud of this outcome of our partnership withDevmountain,” said Chris Maser. “The student body are extremely receptive to the real-world experience I can share with them. Likewise, I have learned so much from their fresh perspective.”

Devmountain provides a targeted approach to technology learning, providing on campus courses in development, design, and software testing. These courses are shorter, more focused, and more hands-on than a standard university approach. The program is one of several feeder schools to the Tech One IT Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP). TAP accelerates the next generation of technology talent into the workforce, providing a lower-cost employment solution for some of the nation’s leading companies, and giving new graduates a springboard into a career where their skills can be put to good use and their resumes benefit from the name of a well-known employer.

The TAP program is still fully functional during COVID-19 and currently Tech One IT is setting up new initiatives at several technology firms and our clients, apprentices and their team leaders have reported no issues starting with a new team in a virtual environment.
