- Ease of use- Jira has an intuitive web interface, while ServiceNow’s is more accessible to smaller organizations and IT shops as it is more enterprise-focused.
- Price point- again, ServiceNow is more enterprise-focused, so they charge $10,200 per year for the express version (this cost is subject to change of course!) Jira charges $10 per month for up to 3 agents and $20 per agent/month for 4+ agents.
Are they similar?
All in all, ServiceNow and Jira Service Manager are similar platforms. They both offer IT Service Management and customer support in one platform. Most of their differences boil down to the software roots and the differences in goal audience.
For bigger companies, ServiceNow is probably better for you. For companies already familiar with Atlassian products, Jira is probably the best. They both offer similar community support, release rate, and learning curves.
