Description
Position Description The Applications Specialist provides administration, configuration, Tier 2 & 3 level support and maintenance of the Accela Civic Platform enterprise application. This position will interact directly with internal and external stakeholders to provide a high level of service and application availability. • Keeps all assigned enterprise applications operational, up to date and optimized; troubleshooting application, integration and performance issues, conducting root cause analysis and providing solutions that minimize the impact to the business • Provides direct Tier 2 and Tier 3 customer support of enterprise projects to include end user training on application enhancements, modifications and new features • Performs implementation, configuration and documentation of the Accela Civic Platform and related applications; planning, organizing, and managing small to medium projects • Analyzes and resolves performance problems including application, database and system related issues • Performs application maintenance and updates as specified by vendors and industry standards; work includes use of a variety management, development and support tools for the various enterprise applications • Performs technical work in planning, coordinating and executing application activities and projects that directly affect the day to day operations of the business • Elicits and analyzes requirement of relevant application and project work by participating in design sessions with stakeholders, project managers, business analysts and team members • Creates knowledge base articles describing troubleshooting steps and procedures • Performs special projects, including system integration, software development, workflow configuration, application configuration and application upgrades • Demonstrates experience in project management, managing third-party vendors, and results-oriented collaboration among project stakeholders  
Skills Required • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office • Experience in Version Control Software (source code management) • Two (2) years of prior Tier 2 or 3 support experience of enterprise applications  
Skills Preferred • • Direct configuration and support experience for Accela Land management • Working experience with Client Relationship Management tools • • Working experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) / Azure DevOps Server • Microsoft SQL Server management, reporting, troubleshooting and SQL optimization techniques  
Experience Required Two (2) years of prior Tier 2 or 3 support experience of enterprise applications  
Experience Preferred • Four (4) years of professional-level application configuration and support experience • Direct configuration and support experience for Accela Land management • Working experience with Client Relationship Management tools • Three (3) years of demonstrable experience with JavaScript • Working experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) / Azure DevOps Server • Microsoft SQL Server management, reporting, troubleshooting and SQL optimization techniques  
Education Required HS Diploma  
Education Preferred • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
