Position Description Business Analyst 1 Under the direction from the Chief Information Officer and IT Operations Manager,plans, organizer, design, configures and Manager court related technology application, systems. Facilitates project planning, project implementation steps and documentation, configuring system based on both research and design specification. Assist with user training and coordination during implementation as well as continued follow up and system improvements.
Skills Required " Interfaces with Directors, Programmer Analysts, and end-users on requests for new projects and/or modifications to existing programs. " Liaise with software vendors to evaluate, test, troubleshoot, configure applications and train employees. Reviews all vendor documentation, defines changes and assists with the upgrade and versioning of applications. " Analyzes court department processes and procedures and provides recommendations to management for changes. " Compiles and documents complete functional specifications and prepares project overviews for approval by the Chief Information Officer and/or the Clerk. " Researches ROI, cost, time estimates, etc. for inclusion in project documents. " Coordinates and prioritizes jobs for completion in keeping with milestones and deadline commitments as documented in project reports. " Documents all tasks, features request and software defects. Provides progress reports to the Chief Information officer, IT Management and department Directors. " Provides level two and three support for court related application issues passed from the Help desk. Conducts additional research and problem solving. " Provides training support to help desk personnel and department staff. " Additional duties may be assigned that are not noted here. Education Required EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four (4) year college or university; or four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to write SQL, review and modify stored database procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as compliance guidebooks, technical manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
