Business continuity specialist:
Client's Business Continuity program consists of 50 business continuity plans for the most critical functions. Roughly half of these business continuity plans have been drafted, and the other half are being developed.
A business continuity specialist will apply their knowledge and experience as follows:
1. Review the completed business continuity plans and work with the associated business units to increase the vigor of those plans as necessary, challenge assumptions, and help them update their plans as needed to ensure they include the level of planning and detail necessary to ensure business resilience.
2. Lead the remaining business units through the process of developing their business continuity plans, ensuring they are actionable and include the level of planning and detail necessary to ensure business resilience.
Current or recent certification as Certified Business Continuity Professional, or equivalent certification
At least 7-10 years' experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM) in medium-to-large sized companies.
In depth understanding of BCM best practices and protocols, including experience with and knowledge of BCM standards as promoted by BCI and/or ISO.
Strong depth of experience in facilitating the creation of or participating in the development of effective business continuity plans.
Excellent leadership and facilitation skills
Able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business partners and leadership.
