Position Title: Data Analyst

This project encompasses building the system and operational support processes required by the Affordable Care Act. This includes supporting implementation of features for a system that allows consumers to apply for public assistance benefits, such as, Medical Assistance, Nutrition Assistance, and Cash Assistance.

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer works regularly with the Database Team to assist in creating ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) packages using SSIS while performing their primary role as a Reporting/Dashboard Developer (Tableau). Perform reporting related activities which include understanding requirements, data analysis, data modeling and data transformation. This also includes quality assurance, creating documentation, testing activities, and other tasks related to the report development lifecycle. Candidates for this position possess strong technical knowledge and are experienced with concepts related to data warehouse design and analytic tools.

Responsibilities include; but are not limited to:
" Collaborate within a team environment to develop relevant and repeatable policies and procedures for all phases of report development, from understanding requirements to report creation and the documentation of processes with effort to anticipate future needs/questions.
" Appropriately identify and handle sensitive data risks using good judgement and IT security best practices to minimize or eliminate compliance risks.
" Perform troubleshooting of reports to resolve failures, outages, or data integrity issues and Perform query tuning.
" Prioritize business, operation, and information needs
" Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
" Setup report schedule, subscription, access process and procedures, and delivery method.
" Present data in lists, tables, charts, graphs, snapshots, crosstab, trend lines, and other formats.
" Tailor the analysis and reporting methods by the type of data as well as the intended audience.
" Create SSIS packages to move data from different sources.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
" Tableau or other current reporting tools is required.
" Minimum two (2) years of experience in designing and authoring reports/dashboards using.
" Minimum two (4) years of experience using T-SQL/ SQL.
" Minimum two (3) years of experience working with MS SQL Server Data Tools, SQL Management Studio (2008-17.4) and Visual Studio (2010-2017), specifically SSIS.
" Understanding of ETL/data warehousing methodologies.
" Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
" Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, and data mining.
" Ability to provide a business-operations view of relevant data.
" Knowledge and experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Tableau, and other reporting packages.
" Writing queries using T-SQL and other programming languages.
" Experience with DB2.
" Minimum two (2) years of experience with SQL Server.
" Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate technical ideas effectively.
