Job Summary Applies industry best practices and established style guides to vaguely-defined assignments. Creates Internet Channel presentation layer for consumer and internal audiences. Leads complex Front End Development activities. Under some circumstances, may provide direction and guidance to other Front End Developers; Acts as the team leader and provides day-to-day mentoring; May provide guidance and direction to exempt staff Essential Functions / Principal Responsibilities Works independently to produce the presentation layer using industry best practices and established style guides. Facilitates requirements gathering and design development with business and technology partners. Tests presentation layer work in production for style/quality/adherence to standards. Logs bugs, and follows-up on fixes. Evaluates the scope of projects making assessments and assumptions regarding the scope of effort required from the wider User Experience team. Recommends changes to policies and guidelines that affect work, schedules, and budgets. Leads the development of an online style guide to be used throughout the organization as well as with existing vendors. Analyzes and applies usability testing and customer research to address content solutions for users. Coordinates and/or leads a multi-disciplinary project team throughout all stages of design process, evaluating potential design solutions and selecting final approaches to design challenges.
Education, Work Experience, Licenses & Certifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science, New Media, or equivalent experience) or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years user interface and digital multimedia development experience
