Description
Primary Responsibilities
" 50% - Assist the IT Program Manager in managing and planning and/or implementation of various projects; manager programs based on repeatable standards and practices when possible, but also may require defining new approaches; assist in resolving conflicts within and between projects and functional areas.
" 20% - Assist in developing methods to monitor program or area progress and take corrective action to ensure that the agreed upon service levels and customer requirements are met; work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes; analyze potential ricks and future impact of decisions; respond promptly to customer needs; takes a customer-centric approach to problem solving
" 15% - Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste; lead initiatives to develop solutions and processes to meet needs; identify unique innovative approaches; participates in the design and/or testing phases
" 10% - Review and recommend equipment, resources and software; assist with managing the project budget and resource allocation; identifies required resources; trains, schedules, and monitors resources.
" 5%- Perform other duties as assigned.

Top Required Skills
" Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years of experience in project coordination and management (or equivalent experience)
" Arizona State Project Management Certification
" PMP certification preferred

Required Knowledge
" General working knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
" General knowledge of the organization's methodologies and tools
" General knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures
" General knowledge of interrelationships among various internal & external organizational functions
" Proficiency with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
