Position Description Serves as a technical expert in the planning, coordination, solution development, and implementation activities related to the integration of applications and technologies within the City's application integration environment. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management to provide a high level of customer service. THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE WITH A SALARY OF $86,495.95 Start date ASAP
Skills Required Participates in planning of integration projects and corresponding strategies between business units and development teams. Continually develops skills in application integration and stays informed on new developments in integration technology. Provides integration environment technical knowledge and experience during the planning, execution, and management of integrating new applications into the existing application environment. Assists application software developers in the development of APIs to interact with the applications. Analyzes and assesses existing business systems and procedures. Assists in defining software development and/or integration project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation. Recommends, schedules, and performs software improvements and upgrades. Identifies and resolves systems issues. Interacts with users and vendors. Provides training to end users. Provides application performance tuning. Designs, runs, and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging. Monitors, documents, analyzes problems and publishes maintenance schedules for applications. Setups and administers accounts and maintains system documentation. Assists with process automation. Leads the installation, upgrades, and maintenance of applications, databases, and middleware. Plans, coordinates, tests and communicates changes, upgrades, and new services. Enables best practices for business applications. Interacts with all IT divisions to assist in resolving problems with software products or systems. Writes programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of applications.
Skills Preferred
Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Any combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered as qualifying. Five (5) years of experience designing and supporting databases and applications. Experience in Windows, Visual Studio, SQL Server, ASP.NET, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), or SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services). Experience with Financial management suite, HR Information Systems (HRIS), Enterprise Resource Planning systems and environments is highly desirable. Valid Arizona Operator's Driver's License. Ability to meet the criminal background regulations mandated by the FBI CJIS Security Policy.
Experience Preferred Work requires the ability to read technical manuals and information, installation instructions, troubleshooting documents and professional publications. Work requires the ability to perform general math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and evaluate statistical information. Work requires the ability to write memos, instruction documents, spreadsheets, forms, and troubleshooting documents. Create complex logical query statements for database manipulation and map preparation. Use judgment and reasoning in relational database design. Develop and implement project approach and plan and prioritize work tasks in logical sequence. Assists in establishing workgroup goals and objectives. Makes recommendations for software and technology advances in equipment and tools. Governed by broad instructions, objectives and policies. Requires the exercise of considerable initiative and independent analytical and evaluative judgment. Incumbent evaluates customer satisfaction, develops cooperative associations, and utilizes resources to continuously improve customer satisfaction throughout organization. Makes recommendations to I.T. director regarding policy revision, development and implementation. Employee must maintain regular attendance. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
