Systems Engineer
The Systems Engineer will be integral to the team which is responsible for the architecture, reliability, performance, recoverability, administration, scalability and maintenance of the company's multi-site IT infrastructure.
You will take ownership of:
  • Day-to-day operational management and support of the company IT infrastructure
  • Maintaining and administering Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016 and VMware systems through Full System Life Cycle, including installation and configuration, upgrading, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Working independently, diligently, and efficiently on assigned tasks and projects
  • Thoroughly research and propose scalable solutions for new technologies proposed by internal IT teams and various business units and/or clients
  • Collaborating seamlessly with colleagues from other technical teams
  • Completing work off-hours and on weekends for infrastructure changes that cannot be performed during normal business hours
We expect you to have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or a related technical field
  • 3 5 years' experience working as a Systems Engineer
  • Strong Microsoft networking, AD, PowerShell, Exchange, and VMware experience
  • Current Microsoft and/or VMware certifications
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written skills in order to establish strong relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deal with internal and external customers in a friendly, empathetic, and professional manner
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain performance and professional attitude in a fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong phone presence and ability to solve problems via phone
  • High attention to detail to prevent errors when resolving problems
  • Proficiency in the following technologies:
    • Microsoft Active Directory administration
    • Proficiency with PowerShell and strong automation/scripting skills
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2013 and ActiveSync
    • Intimate knowledge of data backup and restoration, including deduplication technologies
    • VMware virtualization experience
    • Solid understanding of Microsoft Clustering technologies
    • Management of File & Print Servers
    • Mobile Device Management administration (BlackBerry UEM and Airwatch/Workspace ONE)
    • Strong knowledge of monitoring solutions
    • Knowledge of Enterprise AntiVirus technologies (namely McAfee ePO)
    • Strong understanding of networking and IT security concepts
    • Client Proliant Server and local storage options
    • Fiber Channel SAN and Fabric
    • Deployment of highly available software and hardware solutions
  • Availability for limited local travel on as-needed basis
